Recently, I decided to take my family on a week-long vacation to Colorado. I had planned on spending most of our time exploring the city of Denver, but I made a small error during the booking process. Instead of staying in Denver, we wound up staying in the city of Westminster. At first, I was frustrated at my mistake, but it turned out to be the best possible mistake! The city is very close to Denver, which made it easy to travel into the city for shopping trips, dinners, or sports events. Westminster lies thirteen miles northwest of Denver, and only eighteen miles southeast of the city of Boulder. Since U.S. Route 36 runs right through Westminster, traveling outside of the city was super easy. There were tons of activities right in Westminster for us to do, especially for my husband. He loves to play golf, so he spent a lot of time exploring the two award-winning golf courses. Both Legacy Ridge and Heritage at Westmoor are championship-level 18-hole golf courses, so of course my husband was in heaven. I decided to spend my time hiking around the beautiful mountain trails, and I saw tons of lovely foliage, streams, and mountain vistas. Our kids spent a few days at the Butterfly Pavilion, which holds 1600 butterflies. Not only did they love seeing the butterflies, but they also loved all of the interactive displays, gardens, and walking trails. Being in Westminster for a week was great, but we definitely needed more time to experience all that the city has to offer! Next winter, we are going to spend two weeks in Westminster, so we can enjoy all the winter activities, too.
Last month, my family decided to visit Colorado for our annual vacation. We had meant to spend our vacation in Denver, but as I was booking our flights and hotels, I made a mistake and placed us in Westminster. As it turned out, being in Westminster was the best thing that could have happened! It was a lucky mistake, since we ended up having a ton of fun enjoying everything that Westminster has to offer. Because it is thirteen miles away from Denver, we were able to easily access the city for all of the shopping, dining, or events that we were interested in. We could even get to Boulder easily, since it was only eighteen miles away. U.S. Route 36 intersects with Westminster, so we never had to worry about getting from one place to another. The atmosphere throughout Westminster was really nice, since there were tons of activities and everyone seemed very laid-back. My husband’s favorite activity was exploring the award-winning golf courses in Westminster. There are two 18-hole championship courses: Heritage at Westmoor and Legacy Ridge. I didn’t think that I would ever be able to get my husband to leave those golf courses! As for me, I decided to spend a few days hiking through the gorgeous mountain trails. I absolutely loved being out in nature, enjoying the beautiful scenery and mountain overlooks. Our kids loved visiting the Butterfly Pavilion, which houses 1600 butterflies. They also had a great time with the interactive exhibits, nature trails, and gardens. Even though we were there for a week, we couldn’t get everything done in Westminster that we wanted to! Next year, we are definitely going to come back for a longer period of time.
When I purchased the first house, I had a very tiny limited budget. My initial idea, was to find a house in a unbelievable spot with a good plot of yard. I was not overly sad with the condition of the actual house. I bought tons of acres of yard with a nice amount of pond, lots of trees, plus a gorgeous thing to see. Unfortunately, the house was nearly a few hundred years old plus in need of major swaps. The electric idea was downright dangerous, plus there was only 1 power outlet per room. Most of the rooms had no overhead light going on. All of the walls were crumbling down, there was no inner workings, plus most of the windows were set shut. The biggest concern with the house was the plumbing unit. The majority of the water plus drainage pipes were horribly ruined, plus I noticed there was a sign of water destruction on the ceilings plus walls. Without even peering at the system, I knew I had a spill. The spills were only the start. The drains were icky, all of the sinks plus tubs were rusty, plus the faucets dripped. I needed to without question gut the plumbing system, getting all of the supply plus drainage pipes switched, the water heater, tubs, sinks, plus toilets. It was a much bigger project, created a lot of debris, plus cost myself and others a ton of cash. I could not handle the switch ups on my own, plus I needed to hire a good plumber.
When I bought my house, I had a certainly small budget. My top idea, was to find a home in a superb location with a nice plot of land. I was not overly upset with the condition of the actual house. I purchased multiple acres of yard with a nice sized pool, lots of trees, and a gorgeous view. But however, the home was nearly 2 hundred years old and in need of major renovation. The electricity was downright dangerous, and there was only one power outlet per space. Most of the rooms had no above lighting. All of the walls were running down plaster, there was no insulation, and most of the windows were tight and shut. The biggest concern with the home was the plumbing system. The majority of the water and drainage pipes were horribly corroded, and I noticed there were signs of water disfigure on the ceilings and walls. Without even checking the system, I knew I had spills. The leaks were only the beginning. The drains were jammed, all of the sinks and tubs were rusted, and the faucets leaked. I needed to certainly gut the plumbing device, replacing all of the supply and drainage pipes, the water heater, tubs, sinks, and toilets. It was a much larger project, made a lot of mess, and cost me a fortune. I could not consider the replaces on my own, and I needed to contact a licensed plumber. The plumber was certainly pricy, and helped me with the intense decisions.
When I first got into my house, I had a super limited budget. My first thing to do, was to find a apartment in a good spot with a good space of land. I was not overly excited with the condition of the actual house. I bought many acres of land with a nice pond, lots of bushes, plus a gorgeous view. Then the apartment was nearly two hundred years seasoned plus in need of major remodeling job. The electric system was downright an issue, plus there was only one power outlet per space. Most of the spaces had no overhead lighting. All of the walls were tumbling plaster, there was no insulation, plus most of the windows were sealed tight and shut. The biggest issue with the apartment was the plumbing device. The majority of the water plus drainage pipes were terribly corroded, plus I noticed symbols of water injure on the ceilings plus walls. Without even looking at the system, I knew I had some spills. The spills were only the beginning. The drains were stopped up, all of the sinks plus tubs were rusted, plus the faucets dripped. I needed to gut the plumbing system, swapping all of the supply plus drainage pipes, the water heater, tubs, sinks, plus toilets. It was a large project, created a lot of mess, plus cost myself and others a ton of cash. I could not handle the changes on my own, plus I needed to use a licensed plumber. The plumber was absolutely the best.
When I first got our house, I had a very small budget. My top idea, was to find a beach house in a nice location with a fantastic amount of area. I was not overly concerned with the condition of the total house. I obtained several pieces of land with a nice sized lake, lots of trees, as well as a gorgeous view. Sadly, the house was nearly one hundred years old as well as in need of major renovations. The electric idea was downright scary, as well as there was only 1 power outlet per room. Most of the rooms had not any overhead lighting. All of the walls were crumbling down, there was no insulation, as well as most of the windows were painted shut. The biggest concern with the house was the plumbing system. The majority of the water as well as drainage pipes were terribly corroded, as well as I noticed symbols of water mangle on the ceilings as well as walls. Without even looking at the system, I knew I had leaks. The leaks were only the start. The drains were clogged, all of the sinks as well as tubs were rust-stained, as well as the faucets leaked. I needed to entirely remove the plumbing system, replacing all of the supply as well as drainage piping, the water heater, tubs, sinks, as well as toilets. It was a sizable program, created a lot of debris, as well as cost myself and others a fortune. I could not deal with the upgrades on our own, as well as I needed to use a licensed plumber.

I loathe going into work right now. Not only is my boss a total jerk, but we just got a fresh hire so I have to deal with the headache of training somebody new, despite the fact that this is not part of my job description. I can show my boss my growing pile of tasks to achieve, as they just stare at me through the basket on my desk. Along with the personal stuff at job, I also have a huge issue while using the office building itself. The heating and cooling system within this place is completely worthless. I honestly do not even understand why all the employees pretend there’s a heating and cooling system at all anymore. It is not like the air conditioning ever turns on inside the summer season anymore. No, instead without any working air conditioning, we are forced to feel the cold drafts from the boss’s office each and every time he enters and exits his properly air conditioned portion of the building. Our cubes are left to suffer with the heat and humidity. Don’t even get me started about the heat in the wintertime. I bring a big blanket, a thick cardigan, and an extra sweater; not to mention the long underwear I had to start to wear under my pants suit. I feel like I will sue the place for inadequate heating! The furnace within this office building makes some horrific sounds, but that is the only reason any of us knows that it really exists. You’ll find you never actually feel any heat from this furnace. One day our issues within the HVAC system will be properly addressed, but until that point, I guess I will have to keep complaining about it.
My mother and I opened our personal business last year. Mom and I love our little shop! We sell handmade crafts and other local artwork in our creative store. My mother makes quite a few our products by hand, and I handle most our books. We experienced a fairly productive year thus far, and I would venture to say that my mother and I are rather enjoying ourselves! We did have a slight problem earlier this winter season. We were forced to face the inadequacy in our HVAC system. Mom and I were at work in this particular little shop a few week ago when we noticed that our shop’s furnace did not appear to be heating effectively. We were both extremely fearful that we would not be able to hire someone to fix the heater. After all, we were just beginning as a business. Thankfully, my mother knows of a friend who works as a highly skilled heating and cooling technician. This HVAC technician my mother knows was able to come by our shop to assess our furnace troubles at zero cost to us. It turned out that the HVAC issue was a very simple one, and he fixed it immediately! We were grateful for his furnace expertise, so we eagerly gave him something special from our shop. I believe that my mother’s friend understood that for the new small business, a massive heating and cooling bill may have set us back significantly; when it occurred at the drastically wrong time, such a heating and cooling bill likely would have even ended our business pursuit. My mother and I will be keeping his number close at hand!
I went to see one of my favorite bands downtown recently. It was a small venue, but the band rocked, and I wanted it to be a bit more intimate. I was longing for the show because it would be a new experience. Crowd was pretty good. There was barely any room, and you were shoulder to shoulder with someone in all directions. It was warm. It came down to warm. Of course it made sense, given the amount of folks in one small space. I truly wished they would turn the air up or something. The palace really need been filled to over potential. I would think a good HVAC unit could override a couple hundred people in a tavern and theater. It was commencing to get pretty uncomfortable. At this aspect, I wished I could be in a cool place. The indoor quality of air was pretty bad, and frankly it smelled a tad. Again, I respected the artist that I had paid to see, and I was just furious that venue didn’t have a handle in the indoor climate. It seemed like a health hazard first off that a poorly functioning air conditioner could pass some sort of code inspection in a place along these lines one. Then again, it’s possibly not that surprising. Its one of those things you don’t want to accommodate, but it sure gives that you a greater appreciation for a properly working air conditioner if you find yourself in public. The last thing from the show was people deciding to take layers off because of how sweaty and humid it’s.
