I just spent a rather small fortune on a brand new HVAC system for my 2000 square foot house. I spent several hours talking to HVAC professionals in my area about which size forced air furnace I needed for a home my size plus was told that I needed a 3.5 ton heat pump for the house. I had it installed about a month ago only. Temperatures are starting to dip a bit in my space this week, so I am really starting to use the heat pump I have now. Now I am start to get upset because ever since my heat pump started running to heat my home, it has never shut off for me. It really seems like it is running always plus the un-even temperatures outside aren’t even really that cold at all. I think it’s in the low 50s maybe during the day plus the mid-30s at evening too. It doesn’t seem like the heat pump can even keep up with the low un-even temperatures that we have. I double serviced the temperature control to really make sure it was set properly. I think the system isn’t dirty because I just had it installed there. So, I do suspect that the furnace might not particularly be the correct size for my home this time, but the HVAC professional there who had installed it promised me that it was the right size that I needed. Now, after finally getting my heat pump set up there, I am going to have to call an HVAC professional already to have it looked at then. If it turns out to be not properly sized for my house, I am not going to be glad about it. The HVAC corporation had better update it with a greater heat pump if that’s the case then.
