Last month I set up my job so that I could work entirely out of your home, I thought I had the ideal situation. I looked forward to choosing my own working arrangements to my preference, and avoiding the distractions of a bustling office atmosphere. I was excited to figure in my pajamas and tune in to my favorite music all day long. I figured I would save money on tailored clothes and driving to and from work. I didn’t realize how easy it was to constantly get distracted at home. Evidently someone is always knocking to the door, my phone is never quiet, and there always something that needs to be cleaned at home. Plus, I hadn’t counted on the amount of it would cost to heat and cool the entire house to the ideal temperature everyday. When I used to leave the house to go to work, it was simple to adjust the thermostat to spend less energy. Now that I was home the entire day, the furnace and air conditioner wound up carrying a much heavier workload. Despite the fact I remained in one single room, working all day, I was heating and cooling every inch of the home to the same temperature. I finally called up an HVAC contractor and inquired for the possibility of zone control upgrades. The upgrade was not overly expensive and has definitely could save me a tremendous cost. I can now heat or cool the old home office without affecting the rest of the house. I have also learned to disregard knocks at the door and shut my mobile phone down while I’m working. Now since I have made these corrections, I absolutely love working at home.
