How many hours a day can you spend on a computer? I’m asking not for myself, but for my roommates, because I think they may be starting to grow into the couch. They both have gaming systems hooked up to side by side televisions, and all they do all day and all night is to game against each other. With the both of them always in that room, it doesn’t smell good. These guys pretty much subsist on soda and chips, And with two computers and two large TVs always on, the room never cools off very much, no matter how much we run the air conditioner. Lucky for me, since I always keep my back bedroom shut off from the rest of the house, I don’t have any cooling issues back there. But the main rooms of the house, including the kitchen, always feel like someone accidentally turned on the heating. One day I asked them to call an HVAC inspector and come take a look at the system, and they said they would. But the next day, I saw that they instead had ordered a portable A/C unit off of Amazon and sat it in between them. The small cooling unit had a radius of about ten feet, just good enough for cooling off the two of them and not much else. And to buy it they had spent way more money then it would have cost to have an HVAC technician come and look at the central system. I wish their love of computers translated to love ofA/C.
