HVAC changes to outdoor temperatures

My family and I have been victims of yet another blizzard. This one dumped over three feet of snow on us.  I know that many people think that having that much snow dumped on you sounds like fun, but trust me – it’s not.  The snow is so deep that none of us can get out of our driveway. Everybody in our family was shoveling the snow until we finally could get out. Since the snow is so deep, my little chihuahua can’t even go outside until we finish digging out. And because so many other people are snowed in, our company is closed. So not only are we buried in snow, we’re losing money on top of it all.  The biggest complication is the fact that our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit was buried in the snow. And since it was buried, so was the intake – which means we now have no heat. When you are buried in snow, and it’s below freezing outside, it’s not the best time to be stuck without heat! This week,  my husband decided he was going to stop trying to dig us out of the front door and that he was going to go out our family room window. That way, he was closer to our Heating, Ventilation and A/C unit. The other way wasn’t turning out to be successful. I am so ready for some heat from our furnace. And if it wasn’t for the space heaters we keep on hand for emergencies, I don’t know how we would have managed in this blizzard.
