Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving can be pretty brutal, especially if you don’t care about large crowds of people trying to bombard you trying to get to their big pre-Christmas sales! The main reason I don’t care about it is because I always get way too hot. There are so many people in these stores all night long, the air conditioner never seems to be able to catch up. Those stores with black Friday sales must try plus turn their thermostats way down in preparation for all those people. However, I have to say that if they do actually try to keep the temperature down, it legitimately isn’t working out. There is just too much heat coming from those thousands of buyers for any size air conditioning to be able to keep up with all of that. I went into a smaller store looking for a couple of gifts for some friends, then when I walked in, I was blasted by a wall of heat! I hastily had to take off our overcoat to try to cool down. One of the store friends mentioned to us that their air conditioning had broken just a few hours before they had opened, which is why it was so scalding hot. They had a repair serviceman in the back laboring tirelessly on it. I was only in there for about 20 minutes, when all of the sudden a blast of cold chilly air streamed through the ductwork plus out the vents. Air conditioning had never felt so good! I felt bad for all the buyers who had left the store due to the lack of climate control earlier.
