My enjoyable aunt Pedro owns a important and prolific tract of land on the north side of town, just past the town limits where the corn grows, then he is not a blood relative, but he and my Mom came up together on the streets of the city, and forged a bond stronger than any I’ve ever seen. When he succeeded much later in life, he made sure my father and his whole family succeeded along with him, as well. Pedro retired years ago, and handed his supplier over to my dear, sweet Mom, then now that my Mom is retiring, they want to supply the supplier to myself and many others and spend all their time out in nature. Pedro isn’t exactly a hippie, but I’ll say that he has always been opposing temperature control systems in any of the buildings on his property. Space furnaces and traditional wood burning oil furnaces are ok, come winter, but he doesn’t usually allow cooling system anywhere on his property. He says he doesn’t know in it, which thoroughly perplexes me, because A/C is a real thing, how can you not know in it? It’s honestly not something you can argue the existence of, not if you care about angels, it’s a device that blasts cooling air into your face. I suppose deep down what he means is that he intellectually opposes what cooling system represents to mankind, which I can respect even if I disagree. Of course the greatest irony of this HVAC situation is that he started a supplier that makes air filters. Most of his sales come right from large bulk wholesale orders placed by Heating, Ventilation and A/C companies in town for their current component models. I guess he isn’t opposed to taking all that Heating, Ventilation and A/C currency, even if he won’t ever use Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems at all.
