Last year I finally decided to become a upgrade instructor in town, mainly to see if I would be a good fit for teaching full time. As it turned out, apparently I actually enjoyed the opportunity to teach children & watch them grow & fully develop. One of our favorite times was during the annual calculus & technology testing fair that the students had to create projects for, however there were all sorts of new and cool ideas represented, from air & space to agriculture & body composition. One of the far more memorable projects involved using wind as a source of sustainable indoor and outdoor energy, & in demonstrating it the student used many flags. To generate a lot of wind at many levels, there were a couple small circular fans in place, although I admired their ingenuity by using the series of overhead vents as part of the demo. The auditorium has a big Heating & Air Conditioning plan that honestly seems to run always, & the exposed ducting & vents were actually perfect to attach things to. The display was in between many vents at the back of the particular site, so the student took small flags & streamers with wind related facts out in order to pique your interest & arrows that led to their display. With the Heating & Air Conditioning plan now running, the little flags & streamers would wave gently in the air vents & catch your attention as you walked by. The display was genuinely informative for everyone, & the presentation was really the best of the 1s there… Even at that time without the Heating & Air Conditioning plan blowing the flags in the flowing air vents, the whole thing was well thought & put together. I was totally ecstatic that I was able to be a part of that.
