Still running the oil plan at the end of our spring

This past year, the Wintertide weather arrived easily early.

By the middle of September, I was already running the oil furnace.

The people I was with and I had many inches of snow on the ground for Halloween. At Christmas, the outside temperature was down to fifteen below zero! Over the last seven weeks, I’ve spent a fortune on heating. The oil furnace has carried a pressing workload & survived a tremendous amount of wear & tear. I continually worry about malfunction & dread opening the week’s natural gas bill. I’ve made sure to be great about cleaning the air filter & keep the control component set as low as possible. It has been the worst Wintertide in my memory, & I’ve been looking forward to Springtime. I’d really adore to shutdown the oil furnace, open some windows & welcome in fresh air. I’d adore to avoid the pressing energy bills for a little while. I’m hoping for a cut between depending on the oil furnace & starting up the cooling system. While we’ve had a couple of nice days, the weather is still awful. The people I was with and I had many inches of snow on Easter. It is now the Last weekof March, & there’s snow & temperatures in the thirties in the forecast. The tulips are budded & the robins have arrived, however the weather refuses to hot up. I am so sleepy of keeping the lake house sealed up slim & running the oil furnace. The air in the lake house is stale & dusty, however cleaning doesn’t seem to improve the indoor air conditions. It seems as if the two of us aren’t going to have a Springtime season. I expect to turn off the oil furnace & beginning the cooling system the next day.
