I have to do something about the odor in my garage.
Every one of us get garbage pick up every 2 weeks, by the end of week 2 the trash just reeks. I have tried using scented bags, keeping the bins closed plus using air fresheners. The odor in the garage is so awful that I hate going in there. What is horrible is that our garage is indoors plus hooked to the central Heating & Air Conditioning. The air duct for our Heating & Air Conditioning unit extends to the garage. So the foul aroma from the trash used to blow into the air ducts plus then be cycled all over the home, however rather than allow the whole beach house to reek, both of us sealed off the air ducts in the garage. Well, the heating plus air used to circulate the odor so it was not as powerful, then now with the aroma staying in the garage plus getting no fresh air blown in, it is just horrible. What can both of us do about the smell? I am thinking about maybe trying air purification. I can open back up the air vent however attach a media air cleaner to our Heating & Air Conditioning equipment. This way when the Heating & Air Conditioning is on, the media air cleaner would try to remove the aroma from the indoor air conditions. I have also read that HEPA filters are really fine for odory indoor air, but finally, there are Ultraviolet lights that are actually powerful air cleaning tools. They can all install right into the Heating & Air Conditioning. I know after these things the aroma should be gone. If not, I know I just have to live with odory trash.
